Super Bowl XLIV

Because we are the premiere TV commercial criticism blog on the whole internet, we will be reviewing every damned ad that littered the commercial breaks in this year’s Super Bowl. It would have almost been fair to post video of every ad and then type “Fuck you, advertiser” underneath it. There were some winners, though. Let’s start there.

Remember the Butterfinger ads featuring The Simpsons? Pretty inoffensive, but not great. This ad, Hard Times is just super. It’s heartwarming and Millhouse even makes it a little funny. One question though, Coke couldn’t get Kent Brockman? Who is this new reporter? Hard times indeed.

Teargaskov, I’m I’m giving this ad 30 SEC OF HELL.

Come on, WTF, it’s evident that the Simpsons are Coke’s bottom bitch now.

    wow.

    this is weak.

I admit, at first, I liked it. It’s the Simpsons—what’s not to love.
But, when all of the coke shit invaded the screen it just got weird.
When references to real brands show up in actual episodes they are
always attacks on the company/product/or corporation.

Now don’t think I forgot about Butterfinger or Butterfinger BB’s for that matter.
But never did it invade the entire city of Springfield! I mean did you see those lame
    Coke umbrellas?!

And, really where the hell is Kent Brockmann? That just makes no sense.

I say: 30 SENCONDS OF MATT GROENING MILKING IT
